ABOUT ME
I'm Jax Powell, a passionate Product Designer dedicated to making the world a better place by understanding users' needs and promoting inclusivity. Currently, I lead product design on the gamification team at CuraJOY, a behavioral healthcare nonprofit, designing wellness services for both B2C and B2B customers.
Previously, I contributed to impactful projects at the Urban League, Odyssey App, and NASA's JPL, gaining valuable experience across diverse industries. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Informatics HCI (human-computer interaction) from UC, Irvine where I also studied CS and business.

💚 Do what you love.
When you love what you do it shows and life is too short to waste it on things you don't enjoy. Love will give you the drive to create amazing things and working with individuals that share your passions creates the best environments.
📗 Never stop learning.
The tech world is always changing and learning is a lifelong commitment. I believe in challenging myself to constantly learn new skills and pursue the things that bring me joy.
🧩 Life is about the journey.
My journey has not been a typical one and I believe in embracing the learning curves, failures, and discomfort. Keep an open mind and let curiosity and optimism drive you. Remember that being bad at something is the first step towards being sorta good at something.
